GetSite runs a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://mcp.getsite.ai/mcp. It gives an AI client tools for your websites, pages, versions, forms, leads, domains and the AI generators. It uses the same API key as the REST API, so it needs the Agency plan. The server forwards your key to the API on every call and stores nothing.

Both snippets are on the API Keys page under MCP Server, filled in with your key right after you create one. The transport is Streamable HTTP over POST. OAuth is not supported.

Typical flow

Ask the client to build a site and it calls, in order: create_website → create_page at path / with a prompt → generate_page → get_run until the run completes → deploy_page. Create and generate the / page first: generate_page returns 409 for any other page until the home page has been generated, and 400 if the page has no prompt. Credits and plan rules are the same as in the app. generate_page has no model parameter, so it always runs on Opus 5.5 at the 1x rate. To use Fable 5.1, call POST /v1/pages/:id/generate on the REST API.

Buying a domain is not possible over MCP; use the app. List tools take a 1-based page and a limit (default 25, max 100; versions default 10; leads tools default 20, and list_lead_searches caps at 50). list_website_pages returns every page of the site with no paging. Version listings include the full HTML, CSS and JS of each version; keep limits small.
