Add a form
There is no form builder. Open the page in the editor, open Edit with AI and ask for one: add a contact form with name, email and message. The AI writes a form that posts to/submit with a hidden form_name field.
Publish, then make one test submission on the live page. The form appears in Forms the moment it receives its first submission. The editor preview has no captcha and rejects submissions.
If you write the HTML yourself, use <form action="/submit" method="POST"> and give it <input type="hidden" name="form_name" value="Contact">. Fields whose names start with form_ are internal and are not shown as fields. File upload fields are not supported.
What a visitor sees
Hosting adds a Google reCAPTCHA checkbox to every form that posts to/submit. After submitting, the visitor lands on a GetSite page that says Thank you! Your form was successfully submitted. A submission with a failed or missing captcha lands on Something went wrong. Your form was not submitted. A visitor over the rate limit gets a plain-text Too many submissions, please try again later. Custom redirects and inline success messages are not supported.
Submissions are limited to 30 per IP address per 10 minutes.
Form settings
Open a form from the list. Two switches and a Notifications button at the top:Notifications
Emails come fromnotifications@getsite.ai, list the submitted fields (values cut at 80 characters) and link to the form. They are sent by an hourly job after the spam check, so expect up to an hour of delay. Submissions the spam filter flags are not emailed; turn the filter off if you want every submission.
Notifications and the spam filter only run for forms that have a field named exactly email. A form without one still records submissions, but you are not emailed about them.
Spam filter
The email address is checked with a verification service. Anything other than a valid, deliverable address marks the submission as Spam and hides it. Turn on Show spam to see them. Turning the filter off un-flags every submission on that form.Submissions
Click a submission to see every field with a copy button, Copy all, Delete, and arrow-key navigation. Export CSV downloads one row per submission with a column per field plus the date. Spam is included only when Show spam is on. Emails (button on the Forms page) lists every unique address collected from theemail field across all forms, with its own CSV export.
Deleting a form removes it and its submissions from the app and cannot be undone. Addresses it already collected still appear under Emails.
