Manage domains at app.getsite.ai/domains. Adding any kind of domain needs a paid plan, and every domain counts toward the plan’s limit, including free subdomains and the address a site gets when it is first published. The one exception is the getsite.co address an uploaded site receives, which any account gets.

Add a domain

Click Add a domain and pick one of four flows.

Connect my domain

Enter the apex domain without www. The domain page shows Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2; you also get them by email. Replace the nameservers at your registrar. GetSite checks every 5 minutes. When the change is visible, the domain becomes Active, GetSite adds the A record for the apex and a CNAME for www, and emails you. Reminder emails go out after 7 and 14 days if the domain is still pending. This is not a registrar transfer; ownership does not move. Only subdomains are accepted. For docs.example.com, add at your DNS provider: Set the record to DNS-only if your provider can proxy it. GetSite checks every 5 minutes and activates the domain when the CNAME resolves. Propagation can take up to 24 hours. DNS records and email aliases are not managed by GetSite for linked domains.

Register a new domain

Search a name and click Check availability. The price is Cloudflare’s at-cost price rounded up to a multiple of $5 per year, in USD. Pick 1 to 10 years, fill in the registrant details (saved for next time), and click Complete order. WHOIS privacy is included. The domain page then shows Pay & register. After payment the status is Purchasing while GetSite completes the registration, usually within a few hours. Then it is Active with DNS records in place. Registered domains do not renew automatically. You get reminder emails 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before expiry. Renew for another year on the Registration tab charges one year at Cloudflare’s renewal price rounded the same way. After paying, the status reads Renewal paid until the registrar applies it close to the expiry date. An expired domain cannot be renewed in the app; email support@getsite.ai. Recovery is done by hand at the registrar and the registry may charge a redemption fee.

Free subdomain

Pick getsite.co or getsite.online and a name. It is active at once. A free subdomain that is not linked to any site is deleted after 60 days, with a warning email at 30. One site per domain, one domain per site. Link from the domain page (Link a site) or from the site’s Site settings → Domain. All pages of the site are then served at their paths on the domain and their live URLs change. Linking a custom domain to a site that uses a free subdomain detaches the subdomain. It stops serving the site and is deleted after 60 days unless you link it to a site again. Unlink removes the domain from the site, which is then left without an address until you link another domain or re-link its old free subdomain from that subdomain’s page.

app.getsite.ai/domains/<domainId> shows what the domain is serving, 30-day traffic, 7-day uptime and, for registered and connected domains, its Ahrefs Domain Rating, then tabs:

DNS

For registered and connected domains you can add A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT and NS records. A, AAAA and CNAME can be proxied through Cloudflare. One record per type and name. Records sync from Cloudflare hourly. Records cannot be edited or removed from the app once added; email hello@getsite.ai to remove one. Add subdomain creates label.example.com pointing at GetSite and adds it to your domains list as its own entry, ready to link to a site. It counts toward the domain limit. For linked and free subdomains the tab is read-only.

Email aliases

On registered and connected domains, Add alias creates name@example.com and forwards it to any inbox. The destination inbox receives a verification link from Cloudflare; the alias goes Active a few minutes after you click it. No limit on aliases. Forwarding only; sending from the alias is not included. For sending, see Email campaigns. Aliases use Cloudflare Email Routing, which needs Cloudflare’s MX records on the domain. If the domain already receives mail elsewhere (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), aliases stay Verifying; they cannot run alongside another mail provider.

Uptime

Off by default. Turn on Uptime monitoring to check https://<domain> every minute. A 2xx to 4xx response counts as up. Turn on Email alerts separately to get an email when the domain goes down and when it recovers. The tab shows uptime and response time for 1 hour to 30 days. app.getsite.ai/domains/uptime lists every monitored domain. Paid plans.

Settings

Coming soon page shows a placeholder instead of a 404 while no site is linked. Delete domain is permanent. A linked site is disconnected and left without an address until you link another domain or re-link its free subdomain. Deleting a domain registered through GetSite does not cancel or refund the registration; it stays registered until it expires but can no longer be managed or renewed from the app.

Registered, connected and free subdomains get HTTPS through Cloudflare. Nothing to set up.
